Create festive decorations and transparent display accents with red confetti glitter in clear PMMA acrylic. This 3 mm decorative sheet comes in 200 × 300 mm and 300 × 500 mm sizes for planning small projects. The title highlights a featured design; this page also offers other colour codes. Select a code and check its matching image before ordering.
Material, finish & visual character
PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), commonly called acrylic or perspex, is the acrylic material used for this sheet. Red Confetti Clear Glitter Acrylic Sheet – 3mm | KSCD-11 offers a patterned marble, terrazzo, glitter or shimmer finish, as identified by the selected design code. Select the actual code and option shown on this page; photographs can differ with lighting and screen settings. Pattern distribution varies between sheets, so an exact repeat of the photographed piece is not guaranteed.
Applications & choosing this sheet
A useful starting point for jewellery components, decorative lettering, craft projects and shop display accents. Match the finish to the job: transparent sheets reveal what is behind them, translucent sheets soften transmitted light, and opaque sheets are chosen for solid colour. Confirm suitability before using near heat, outdoors or in a regulated installation.
Acrylic, glass & polycarbonate
Acrylic (PMMA) gives a glass-like appearance with lower weight at the same thickness and can be cut, drilled and fabricated into custom shapes. Glass generally resists everyday scratching better but is heavier and requires glass-specific cutting and edge processing. Polycarbonate is usually the better starting point where high impact resistance is the main requirement; the exact grade, coating and installation matter. Acrylic can still crack under stress and is not a substitute for certified safety glazing.
Price & appearance: how to compare
Compare quotations for the same finished dimensions, thickness, colour, edge finish and quantity. Basic glass can be economical in standard sizes, while cutting, drilling, polished edges and safety-glass processing affect the installed price. Acrylic pricing changes with thickness, finish and fabrication. Polycarbonate pricing varies with grade, UV protection and surface coating. There is no fixed price ratio that suits every project; include freight and installation in the comparison.
Thickness selection: a practical starting point
| Thickness range | Planning guidance |
|---|---|
| 3–4mm | Often considered for small signs, craft parts and light decorative panels with suitable support. Thin sheets flex more over a large span. |
| 5–6mm | A starting point for more rigid small displays and fabricated components; panel size, fixing spacing and load still need checking. |
| 8–12mm | Consider where increased rigidity or a substantial edge is wanted. It does not automatically make a shelf or large panel load-rated. |
| 15mm and above | For specialist fabrication and thicker visual details. Structural, water-retaining and safety applications require a project-specific design. |
These are general planning ranges, not load ratings. Choose from the actual listed options. Send the finished dimensions, unsupported span, fixing/support method, intended use and expected load so we can discuss a suitable starting specification. Do not select an aquarium or pool window thickness from this table.
Fabrication & everyday care
Allow for acrylic expansion and avoid over-tightening fixings or forcing a panel into a tight opening. Use acrylic-compatible cutting, drilling and bonding methods; trial the process on a matching offcut. Rinse away loose dust first, then clean gently with lukewarm water, a little mild dishwashing detergent and a soft, clean cloth. Avoid dry rubbing, abrasive pads, acetone, thinners and household glass cleaners unless specifically approved for acrylic. Test any specialist cleaner on a discreet area. Protect the surface from grit, sharp objects and direct heat.
